LA Tenants Union

The LA Tenants Union is a diverse, tenant-led movement fighting for the human right to housing for all. If you are dealing with an unscrupulous landlords and need support, they are willing to help tenants in need.

Los Angeles Housing Department (LAHD)

LAHD regulates all rent-controlled units in the city of Los Angeles. They will field complaints regarding landlord harassment, illegal evictions, illegal rent increases, and other illicit landlord conduct.

LA County Department of Public Health (LADPH)

LADPH handles matters of public health across LA county, including habitability violations in residential homes, such as mold and cockroaches. If you are dealing with issues in your home that impact your health and safety, you can complain to LADPH.
